All children are gifts from God, and one of the most important things we can teach them is the value of kindness and compassion. It is so rewarding to witness the incredible growth and development of children in the early years of childhood. As Maria Montessori said, “The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six.””

Overview

MTCC offers all students stimulating and balanced activities that promote learning and social growth.

Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum offered at MTCC was developed to teach children social competence and the skills they need to succeed as learners. MTCC’s curriculum is designed to help children feel competent, make decisions, and direct their own learning.

Social-Emotional
Development

Our program strives to teach children the necessary life skills to be successful. These skills include interpersonal communication, compassion, and positive social skills, all leading to academic readiness at the next stage.

Play Based Learning

Research shows that young children learn through play and actively exploring their environment. Children build knowledge through the manipulation of their senses. Children take ownership of their learning in a child-centered environment with plenty of choices. Our classrooms are arranged into learning centers that encourage different types of play. These learning centers include art, science, mathematics, manipulatives, reading/writing, pretend play, and building.

What People Are Saying

Nick & Ellen M.

In our search for a childcare center that would fulfill our requirements, Methodist Temple stood out above the rest. Being away from the most important people in our lives is difficult, but knowing the nurturing and care given to them each day eases the difficulty of being apart.

Dave & Sandy B.

Our family has been a part of Methodist Temple Children’s Center since the fall of 2012…every week…with three boys. The team at MTCC has helped us raise our boys and has been a place we as parents can trust with what is most precious to us.

Stephanie & Jerod R.

Methodist Temple Children’s Center has been a true blessing for our family. The staff is amazing and shows our children love every day. The curriculum promotes learning both in academics and social skills. We drop our children off daily, knowing it will be a great day filled with enjoyable experiences.
