“Childhood is where the foundation for a lifetime is built. At Methodist Temple Children’s Center, we want every child who walks through our doors to know they are loved, valued, and wonderfully made. Our hope is to nurture not only growing minds, but kind hearts… creating a place where children feel safe to learn, explore, build friendships, and experience the love of God in the everyday moments.”

-Katie Baugh, Director

Overview

MTCC offers all students stimulating and balanced activities that promote learning and social growth.

Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum offered at MTCC was developed to teach children social competence and the skills they need to succeed as learners. MTCC’s curriculum is designed to help children feel competent, make decisions, and direct their own learning.

Social-Emotional
Development

Our program strives to teach children the necessary life skills to be successful. These skills include interpersonal communication, compassion, and positive social skills, all leading to academic readiness at the next stage.

Play Based Learning

Research shows that young children learn through play and actively exploring their environment. Children build knowledge through the manipulation of their senses. Children take ownership of their learning in a child-centered environment with plenty of choices. Our classrooms are arranged into learning centers that encourage different types of play. These learning centers include art, science, mathematics, manipulatives, reading/writing, pretend play, and building.

What People Are Saying

Courtney & Kyle S.

Choosing MTCC for our children was the best decision. The staff is wonderful, and our children have learned and grown so much since being there. We never have to worry about whether they are being well cared for because we know they are in such loving, capable hands. Their communication is top-notch, and we especially appreciate that the curriculum is Christ-centered. We couldn’t be more grateful for the love and care they pour into our children every day!

Catherine & Justin G.

"Every family needs their village and we are grateful MTCC is ours from the teachers who care for our children every day to the other families we find community in. As someone who went through MTCC as a child, it’s special to have our children be a part of the continued legacy of high quality child care in Evansville."
